A passionate student of Anusara Yoga® and a Certified Anusara instructor, B.J. has had a consistent practice since 1999.
After two years of intense Astanga study, BJ felt drawn to the Anusara practice, and has dedicated thousands of hours to training, studying and teaching this inspirational and playful style of yoga.
Grateful for having been blessed with the opportunity to extensively travel the U.S., Australia, South America and Europe, studying with, apprenticing, and assisting master yoga teacher and founder of Anusara, John Friend, BJ is deeply honored to have introduced Anusara yoga to South America. Leading the way for John's inagural tour in South America in November 2009, she has been and is still currently teaching bi-lingual immersions, trainings, master classes, workshops and intensives all over South America in addition to vents in other international and national locations.

Passionate about the practice, B.J. is an “energizing presence, contagiously uplifting”, and embodies the strength, humility, alignment and humor helping to co-create the amazing spiritual wave that is creating an unprecedented, exponential demand for more Anusara yoga. Her intention to serve the highest and serve from her heart inspires students to align with the power of Grace and their own intention within. She will skillfully guide and assist you to transform, heal and awaken a full expression of Divine beauty and Goodness from the inside out, on and off the mat.
As well as being a certified Anusara yoga teacher, B.J. was a fully qualified fitness instructor and personal trainer for 15 years; she is also a Certified HypnoBirthing® Practitioner and Reiki Master.
Outside of the fitness industry, she founded and managed several successful business ventures, both for profit and not for profit, and served four years on the local school board, as well as on her neighborhood association. A native Arizonan, B.J. spent many years living in Mexico and offers classes in both Spanish and English.
Her ardent desire to connect deeply within her own heart, and the hearts of those around her, fuels her dedication to study and practice different healing modalities that naturally expand the body, mind and soul. A relentless seeker of Divine wisdom and knowing, she subtly weaves the life affirming teachings into her classes and continues to expand her philosophy studies under the tutelage of the renowned master esoteric wisdom scholars, Dr. Douglas Brooks, Carlos Pomeda, and Paul Muller-Ortega.
Recently, just for fun, B.J. initiated Handstands Anonymous™, a Facebook Group dedicated to play and her love of being upside down. Her intention was originally just a fun place where she and the yoga community of teachers and students can share their common addiction for doing handstands. The HA™ Facebook group grew exceptionally fast and in a matter of months has grown to now 1,200+ fans members with over 400 pictures of sometimes absurd pictures of themselves doing handstands in the most random places posted.  Currently she is working in collaboration with a group in Geneva to transform the HA™ Facebook group into a fund-raising non-profit organization designed to shift focus from negative addictions through encouragement of getting the 'high' from more positive activities such as yoga and Handstands. B.J. is honored to be the mother of three extraordinary young men, and overjoyed to be the grandmother of two beautiful little boys, a new little Goddess granddaughter, and one little Goddess on the way.

Eternally thankful for her family, friends, Jordan and Martin Kirk, all of her teachers and those who came before them, she is especially grateful to John Friend, and the auspicious blessing of Grace that led her to this rocking with Shakti, fun loving, magically transformational, all inclusive, life-affirming community of like hearted people called Anusara.
